Welcome Letter

Hello and welcome!
I’m Grant Raja, Chair of the Bronchiectasis Consumer Advisory Committee at Lung Foundation Australia.   

If you are interested in learning more on Bx for yourself or someone you love, I encourage you to get involved.  For the first time ever, the conference will be in sunny Brisbane. This is a unique and important moment for our community. Hence why, the World Bronchiectasis Program isn’t just about sitting through presentations, but rather a chance for those with lived experience – like you and me – to connect, to be heard, and to learn more on how to manage lung health. Knowledge is a valuable tool in any care program.

What to expect?

• Clear, practical sessions on diagnosis, treatment and daily living with bronchiectasis
• Opportunities to connect with researchers, clinicians and industry partners
• Opportunity to raise awareness and share your lived experience with bronchiectasis

In my own journey, I’ve seen the difference that engaging in research and working with health professionals makes. Being informed, involved and connected gave me my control of my health journey.

So, join in. Ask Questions. Share your story. We’d love for you to attend virtually or in-person to help change the Bronchiectasis narrative.
