HOW TO GET TO HANNOVER

Hannover is easily accessible by various means of transport, making your journey to the city smooth and convenient.

  • By Air: Hannover Airport (HAJ) is located about 11 km north of the city center and offers direct flights to major European cities and global hubs.
  • By Train: Hannover Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) is a central railway hub with frequent high-speed connections (ICE) to cities like Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Cologne.
  • By Car: Hannover is well connected via the German autobahn network, with the A2 and A7 motorways crossing near the city.

The Hannover Congress Centrum is one of the largest trade fair-independent congress and event centres in Germany. With a history spanning more than 111 years (built in 1914), the Hannover Congress Centrum has been a recognised meeting place and centre for the social and cultural life of the state capital of Hanover for many decades. As a congress and exhibition centre, the HCC is known throughout Germany and Europe.

The Hannover Congress Centrum is one of the largest congress and event centres in Germany. It offers an event and foyer area of 23,000 m², divided into 4 multifunctional event halls, 7 historic halls and 28 conference and meeting rooms. With the Dome Hall as its focal point, it is known for its versatile possibilities, including Germany’s largest classical concert hall and modern meeting rooms. Every year, around 1,200 events with 400,000 visitors take place, including congresses, conferences, seminars, events, concerts, exhibitions and banquets. The HCC is a full-service provider that offers both gastronomic and technical services and offers tailor-made packages. As an experienced event and congress centre, HCC offers congress and event management from a single source.

Code of Conduct

The Association & Patient Programme (APP) is a side activity organized by the WBC Chairs in collaboration with Bronchiektasen e.V. and ELF. Lena Group, as the Organising Partner, together with Bronchiektasen e.V. and ELF, would like to share some helpful information to support your participation.

We kindly invite patients and patient representatives to take note of the following:

  1. Registration for the APP at WBC is required and can be completed via the website: Registration will open soon
  2. Registration is available for both on-site and online participation. Please note that it does not cover travel or other personal expenses. Accommodation can be booked separately through the registration process.
  3. The APP Programme is designed specifically for individual patients and caregivers. Access is therefore limited to APP activities and does not extend to the main WBC areas, including scientific sessions and the exhibition.
  4. WBC 2026 will host an Association & Patient Village, a dedicated space for patients, patient associations, and patient representatives to connect, share experiences, and engage with one another.
  5. Registration is personal, and a badge will be provided on-site. We kindly ask that it is worn at all times within the APP area.
  6. You are also warmly invited to join the Get-Together Evening on 24 June from 19:00. The venue will be announced in due course. You may add this option during the registration process (participation fee: €30).
